A Vision and a Voice."
As an Artist and as an Educator, my goal is to acknowledge the sovereignty of every individual: to establish our boundaries, challenge our preconceptions, connect us to nature, and encourage us in the pursuit of our Personal Truth.
Every person, no matter what age, is a beautiful balance of existence. Every person, no matter how they look, is in possession of a valuable life.
From a young age, I was taught through art how to appreciate the diversity and interdependency of life. It is an honour and a joy for me to share this knowledge with you; to encourage in every student a deeper understanding of how we connect and why.
Because our differences are not to be feared or avoided; we can learn to celebrate our individuality, and appreciate the world around us in many ways. We have more in common than we may think.
Sometimes, all it takes to awaken, to inspire, or to evolve, is for one individual to be heard. I strive to allow everyone in my classes to be heard; to train others to listen and to speak with purpose. Furthermore, I work to assist my students in channeling their observations critically and creatively - the Artist's way.
It has been proven that creative endeavors stimulate and bolster learning. I feel as though I can attest to that, and with my training and experience, I can connect with a large array of communities.
With purpose, practice, and passion, Life can become Art.
