A Vision and a Voice."
As an Artist and Educator, my goal is to acknowledge the sovereignty of the individual and our role in this wide world;
to establish boundaries;
to challenge preconceptions;
to connect to nature and to our neighbors;
and to encourage in the pursuit of Personal Truth.
It has been proven that creative endeavors stimulate and bolster learning. I can attest to this, and with my training and experience, I can connect with a large array of communities. From a young age, I was taught through Art how to express myself and show my appreciation to the diversity and inter-dependency of life. It is an honor and a joy for me to share this knowledge with you ~ to encourage in every student a deeper understanding of how we connect and why.
Our differences are not to be feared or avoided ~ we can learn to celebrate our individuality, and appreciate the world around us in many ways. We have more in common than we may think. Every person, no matter what age, is a beautiful balance of existence. Every person, no matter how they look, is in possession of a valuable life. Everyone has a "vision", everyone has a "voice".
Sometimes, all it takes to awaken, to inspire, or to evolve, is for one individual to be heard. Personal expression drives us as human beings. I strive to allow everyone in my classes to be heard ~ to instruct others to listen thoughtfully and to speak with purpose. Furthermore, I work to assist my students in channeling their observations critically and creatively ~ the Artist's way.
With purpose, practice, and passion, Life can become Art.
