Brandy vs. Shaniqua
"Brandy vs. Shaniqua" is a dark comedy sketch series for an adult audience.
Brandy Yammerstein is a deranged troublemaker and her best “frienemy” is the tempermental Shaniqua. Because Brandy is a b- with a very loud mouth, she’ll pester Shaniqua until she goes berserk... yet they always seem to have each other's back if anyone else gets involved.
Original inspiration for this idea came (obviously and purposefully) from the leads of Beavis and Butthead (created by Mike Judge for MTV), with the violence and insanity of Spy vs. Spy (created by Antonio Prohias for Mad Magazine), as well as racial tensions that are present in the United States culture. (I am a huge fan of Judge's works, and would hope to attract a like-minded audience.. and/or direct my audience to his works in appreciation.)
The series is pitched as gag-oriented interstitials with the potential evolve. It is heavily stylized with extreme physical moments.
